The Foundation was established in 1991. It is named after the outstanding architect, graphic artist, and educator Iakov Chernikhov (1889-1951).
– to support new architectural concepts and initiatives by young architects of the world, as well as children's architectural creativity.
The Foundation has several primary goals:
– to preserve and promote Iakov Chernikhov’s creative legacy by organizing architectural competitions, as well as exhibitions of works by Iakov Chernikhov and other Russian
– to provide support for experimental work, education and research in the field
of innovative architecture and urban planning;
